Uaithne, Dagda's Harp
Bealtaine is one of the four seasonal festivals in the old Gaelic calendar, still marked every 1st of May.
It marks the start of summer, and the day the veil between our world and the Aos Sí, the good folk, was said to be thinnest. Bonfires were lit to keep them happy, and that thin veil between worlds is what I wanted to capture in the fire itself.
There's more on how that turned into the drawing, over on my blog.
