Kingfisher printable colouring page
Here is my drawing of a kingfisher. This is a digital download of my original drawing. I drew this by hand on paper then scanned it to make it available digitally. The watermark is removed on the version you download.
In Irish legend, a dead kingfisher, if dried, will smell sweetly and, if suspended, will always face into the wind. Also, if a dead kingfisher is preserved in a dry place it will never decay. Then it can be put among clothes as a moth repellent plus it gives them a pleasant odour.
I like that the Irish for kingfisher is biorra an uisce, ‘water-spear’.
