Bean Sí Comb

There's a piece of Irish folklore that says if you find a comb on the ground you should leave it there because it might belong to the Bean Sí, and she will come looking for it. What I love about the accounts collected in Dúchas is how ordinary they sound. A comb on a dresser, the Bean Sí crying at the window at midnight, a priest who always gives the same advice.

There's more about the advice, and what happens to those iron tongs, over on the blog.
